Osimhen considers legal action against Napoli as rift deepens | OneFootball

The row between Napoli and star striker Victor Osimhen has worsened, with the player considering legal action against his employer.

Last season’s capocannoniere missed a penalty during last weekend’s draw at Bologna and reacted furiously towards coach Rudi Garcia upon being substituted.

Since then, the club have strangely posted a TikTok video which appeared to mock Osimhen, before then deleting the post which related to his penalty miss.

His agent Roberto Calenda has subsequently taken to Twitter to confirm that the Nigerian is furious about the video and may take the matter further.

“What happened on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted,” Calenda wrote.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”

Osimhen has since deleted all photos and videos of him wearing a Napoli jersey from his Instagram account
