Napoli are increasingly confident that Victor Osimhen’s agent will get PSG to pay over €100m, as Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is waiting only for Antonio Conte.
It is absolutely no secret that the Belgium international only wants reunite with the former Inter coach at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer.
At the same time, Chelsea are refusing to let him leave for under €35m, so Napoli cannot make a move until they have sold Osimhen.
According to Sport Mediaset this evening, agent Roberto Calenda is in Paris for face-to-face negotiations with PSG and they are progressing well.
It is reported that Paris Saint-Germain are now prepared to pay just over €100m, which is not the €130m release clause, but a necessary loss considering the lack of alternatives.
When Osimhen signed the new contract in December 2023, it was thought there would be Premier League sides lining up to activate the clause, but they all turned to other candidates.
Once the Nigerian has been sold to PSG, then Napoli can swoop for Lukaku, the only striker Conte wanted.
