Pachuca is set to host Toluca for the second leg of the 2022 Liga MX Apertura final on Sunday at Estadio Hidalgo.

Guillermo Almada’s side heads into the match with the lead, after defeating Toluca 5-1 in the first leg with goals from Romario Ibarra, Gustavo Cabral, Nicolas Ibañez and Mauricio André Isais. But Pachuca goalkeeper Oscar Ustari admitted the team will not be taking the advantage for granted, vowing to give it their all on the pitch to make up for last season’s loss.

Pachuca managed to reach the final in the 2022 Liga MX Clausura, before losing to back-to-back champions Atlas.

"This group is impressive, because based on sacrifice, effort and above all what this team has, which is humility, we have been able to first fulfill the word among ourselves that it was to play a Final again. We have achieved it, in football it is very difficult," said Ustari.

"The reality is that when we started the previous 90 minutes, we and I think you also [the fans] had a wound that was left open and we had three months to heal it, but it still hasn't healed, it hasn't healed yet, we still have 90 minutes left. We are aware, you must also be aware that no game is won before playing it.”

The goalkeeper then asked fans for their undivided support, as they look to clinch their seventh league title.

"We have 97 minutes with you out there supporting us and us on the pitch. As the club's motto says, all together we are stronger, have no doubt about that, thank you very much for everything and we are waiting for you all tomorrow. Go Pachuca.”
