Osasuna star set to recieve call-up to the Spain national team | OneFootball

Many footballers dream of representing their country on the international stage, but with only 26 spots available to each nation when drawing up their squad, many never achieve this dream.

For Osasuna right-back Jesus Areso, it would seem that this dream is set to become a reality as the 25-year-old is set to recieve a call-up from Luis de la Fuente.

As per Estadio Deportivo, Areso is set to be included in the upcoming Spain squad for the UEFA Nations League, amid a wide array of injuries amongst Spanish players.

Luis de la Fuente already has experience working with Areso during his time at the helm of the Spain U-19 squad, so he should know how to get the best out of the right-back.

Areso has been a key member of the Osasuna squad which fins themselves in 11th place, and the defender has been one of the better right-backs in La Liga this season.

The deadline for the Spain squad to be published is the 14th of March, so we will find out sooner rather than later if Areso has got the call-up.
