Real Madrid had a special game midweek against Manchester City as they came back from a 2-1 deficit in the final ten minutes to win the game 3-2.
It was Jude Bellingham who scored the winner in the first minute of extra-time, giving Los Blancos the advantage heading into the critical second leg at home.
Now, Carlo Ancelotti and Co. must turn their focus to La Liga where they take on Osasuna at El Sadar on Saturday night, a clash even the best in La Liga often fear to take head-on.
Speaking to the media ahead of Real Madrid’s clash against Osasuna in La Liga, the Pamplona-based side’s former player and manager Enrique Martin Monreal expressed his thoughts on Saturday’s game.
He began by reminding the media that Osasuna had already taken down Barcelona in the league this season and that they feared none.
“This year we beat Barcelona here and Madrid will surely suffer because the fans are pressing and Osasuna is doing things very well.”
Speaking on the key to winning against elite opponents like Real Madrid, the former player said,
“They are different games, against big teams. The impact is very great and that is a special motivation for the players as well as the public.”

Reminiscing his footballing days when he faced Real Madrid and Barcelona and digging into his experience, he stated that the difference between elite clubs and the lower-ranked ones was ultimately in the efficiency of scoring.
“It happened to us. Madrid or Barcelona came and we played well. Now it also happens. There is no team that does not play well against Madrid or Barcelona.”
“The problem is in scoring. You have to give some connotations like your goalkeeper stops everything, the opposing team doesn’t get it right and that you have two and put three,” he added.
Monreal was then asked about Los Blancos’ recent win over Manchester City and how that would affect tomorrow’s game, to which he said,
“After the high, they have had after beating City, they is not going to give anything.”
“Until the game against City, it seemed that Madrid was more vulnerable. When you see that game, [you realize] the forwards have started to work,” he added.
Finally, the Osasuna legend made a firm statement that Carlo Ancelotti’s side would ‘suffer’ at El Sadar, saying,
“I am convinced that Madrid in El Sadar will suffer, I have no doubt.”
“Osasuna is very good, it is a compact team that is doing things very well and that surely, with the support of the public, Madrid will suffer,” he concluded.
