Osasuna handed timely Unai García boost before Granada | OneFootball

A timely boost on the personnel front has been confirmed at La Liga outfit Osasuna on Tuesday.

This comes amid confirmation that Unai García has linked back up with the rest of his teammates at the club’s training ground.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, stopper García managed to see out the entirety of Tuesday morning’s session, boding altogether well when it comes to his prospects of featuring this weekend.

The 32-year-old was forced to sit out each of Osasuna’s last three outings, owing to a hamstring injury suffered whilst on duty with the Basque national team late in March.

And his return could not come at a better moment for boss Jagoba Arrasate.

This comes with fellow central defender David García having just yesterday been ruled out for what is expected to be the remainder of the campaign.

Los Rojillos’ captain has picked up a significant thigh injury, which could even throw his participation at the upcoming European Championships into doubt.

Osasuna will mark their return to action this Sunday, in a La Liga meeting with relegation-bound Granada at Los Cármenes.
