La Liga outfit Osasuna have today been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that a key member of their defensive ranks has resumed full training with the rest of the club’s squad.
The player in question? Rubén Peña.
Full-back Peña, for his part, was forced to sit out each of Osasuna’s last four outings, owing to a thigh injury suffered in mid-February.
As confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, though, the 32-year-old appears to have ‘left the problem behind’, having taken full part in training with Jagoba Arrasate’s squad this morning.
Peña, as a result, is expected to be available to feature from the off, when Osasuna make the trip to the Power Horse Stadium, for a meeting with La Liga basement dwellers Almería on the far side of the international break.
To date, the experienced defender has been afforded starts in 19 of the Rojillos’ 29 league outings this season.
