David Ornstein reports Arteta wants six staff in his coaching team including interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg.

Steve Round is certainly going to join. He was in attendance for the Everton game along with Arteta and Edu. Round previously worked as an assistant at Everton and Manchester United, before taking a job as Director of Football at Aston Villa.

Ornstein also confirmed Inaki Cana, Brentford’s goalkeeping coach. Cana previously worked for Barcelona’s academy and set up a goalkeeping academy of his own in Spain. Brentford have an excellent goalkeeping record in the Championship with his help.

With Ljungberg as well, that makes up half the team. There aren’t many concrete rumours around about the other three.

The media linked Domenec Torrent and Manchester City coach Rodolfo Borrell before Arteta joined, but Borrell is staying with City. Torrent is more likely, leaving his role as head coach of New York City FC in November.

Other than that, we should know more in the coming days before Arteta’s first game on Thursday.
