Despite his lack of opportunities, poor form, and turning 38 this coming January, Oribe Peralta still does not have retirement on his mind.
In fact, Peralta has vowed to continue fighting at Chivas or at any other club that will take him in to provide him an opportunity to play.
“I hope there is an opportunity to continue here or there will be some other opportunity. I am not ready to face what is coming.
“Throughout my career, I have been blessed, so I cannot complain about anything. I am fine with any of the decisions that occur.
“To contribute from where I am, I think that playing or not playing does not make it impossible for me to help.
“I try to share my point of view about each situation we go through and share my experience that, over the years, has helped me to be where I am.
“You can always find a way to help from wherever you are, you don’t need to be playing to do it.”
Despite being a legend in his own right, Peralta has only been able to contribute two goals and three assists in 36 career games for Chivas, and has only featured for 12 minutes this season.
