West Ham appear to be getting close to securing a deal for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
The Brighton striker has been a target of the club for many weeks of this January transfer window, with Head Coach Graham Potter keen to bring his former Seagulls forward to east London.
It’s understood that all potential scenarios surrounding the type of deal have been discussed, with many West Ham fans eager to see a loan arrangement rather than an expensive move for a player with already a history of injury concerns.
However, insider ExWHUEmployee has advised that the club are confident a deal in some format will be reached, although it’ll be interesting to see if he makes the Brighton squad this weekend having been confirmed as fit and available.
“Evan Ferguson remains the number one target for the club as the deadline approaches,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way. “All options for the deal have been discussed including a permanent transfer, loan with obligation, loan with option and a straight loan.
“There is increasing optimism from within the club that we can get the Ferguson deal done with Potter being a key factor in his decision making process. Talks continue with hope of a resolution but it is thought Brighton may wish to sanction any deal after their weekend fixture.”
Ex has also advised that the club are open to offers for Luis Guilherme, Guido Rodriguez and also Andy Irving – who is the subject of interest from Championship club Blackburn Rovers.
