Vincenzo Italiano's first season as Fiorentina coach has brought the team from battling to avoid the drop 12 months ago to the cusp of European qualification. The impressive turnaround has been built on an attacking style of football which has relit the enthusiasm at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

However, the team has faltered recently, losing three of the last four outings, which has left three teams, Roma, Atalanta and the Viola split by just one point for two places between the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.

TEAM FOCUS

  • Having already earned 38 points at the Franchi this campaign, Fiorentina are aiming to break the 40-point barrier at home for the first time since season 2012/13.
  • Fiorentina are the team that has gone the longest without drawing in Serie A after four wins and four defeats from their last eight matches.
  • Fiorentina have lost three of their last four Serie A games, as many defeats as from the previous 13 league fixtures.
  • Having the head-to-head advantage over Atalanta, Fiorentina will participate in a European competition for the first time since 2016/17 if they finish with the same points or more than the team from Bergamo.

PLAYER FOCUS

  • Nicolás González has scored in each of his last two games and has become the Fiorentina player that has been involved in most goals since the beginning of March in Serie A: six (four goals, two assists).
  • Since his arrival at Fiorentina in January, Arthur Cabral is second for attempted shots (23), behind González (37). The Brazilian centre forward has scored two goals in Serie A, neither at the Franchi.
  • Cristiano Biraghi is the defender who has created the most chances for his team-mates (69), a record for him in a single Serie A season. Should the full-back play from kick off against Juve, it will be his 150th start with the Fiorentina shirt in all competitions.
  • José Callejón has participated in five goals (one goal and four assists) in his last six games against Juventus in Serie A.
