Mousa Tamari has hit the ground running since joining Montpellier in the summer. The first Jordanian to play his football in France, he is showing that he has plenty to offer France's top flight! Pace, precision and superb goals...

Tamari followed up his debut stunner with a second goal in the 4-1 mauling of Lyon… the way Tamari latched onto Benjamin Lecomte's pass is proof the Jordanian has struck up an instant rapport with his teammates.

"For me it's a nice goal. The first time I touch the ball I know I will score. Most of the time when I take the ball from this side I know, like, 90 percent I will score," explained Tamari, noting that he and his 'keeper had cooked up a little something special. "We spoke before the game. If he takes the ball, I just run and he will give me the ball. And this is what's happened in the field."

The next weekend, he struck another brilliant goal against Reims… the free transfer from Leuven in Belgium looks like one of the best signings of the season.

"He's a really good lad, a hard worker, and he's settled quickly," explained Montpellier boss Michel Der Zakarian. "He's quick with the ball and without the ball, he dribbles well, passes well… and he scores goals!"

The Magic

The question now is: can Ligue 1 Uber Eats's first-ever Jordanian player keep producing the magic week after week?

"I hope. Why not?" Tamari mused. "Every game is different than before. What you did before you have to did after also, next game, or when you play. I hope I will do the same in next week. I am proud of myself, to be here. And also for all the people of Jordan."

Tamari's next chance to impress comes on Sunday afternoon at 15:00 as he and his teammates travel northeast to Strasbourg, where they will hope to topple Patrick Vieira's side and potentially leap up to seventh place.
