One Real Madrid star included in Club World Cup Team of the Tournament | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has earned for himself a place in the official FIFA Club World Cup Team of the Tournament.

The player in question? Gonzalo García.

Frontman Gonzalo is for his part of course fresh off something of a breakout summer.

Afforded a surprisingly prominent role in the XI of new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso owing to an illness suffered by Kylian Mbappé, the 21-year-old went on to take full advantage.

All told, Gonzalo featured from the off in each and every one of Los Blancos’ fixtures at the Club World Cup.

And along the way, the youngster racked up five direct goal contributions (4G, 1A), enough to secure ownership of the competition’s Golden Boot.

In turn, it should come as no great surprise to hear of Gonzalo also being included in the Team of the Tournament.

As showcased below, the Spaniard has joined the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Cole Palmer in the CWC XI:
