Carl Jenkinson – astonishingly still an Arsenal player – could be about to leave north London after eight years.

Jenkinson joined the Gunners in 2011 but has played just 41 times for his boyhood club, going out on loan spells to West Ham and Birmingham.

The one-time England international made just six appearances last time out for Unai Emery and a story in Sky Sports has suggested that the 27-year-old is now ready to move on.

They claim that the ex-Charlton man is desperate for more first team football and has been told by Arsenal that can leave this summer.
