Not everyone at San Siro on Sunday was wishing Zlatan Ibrahimović a happy retirement but the Swede had the last laugh.

With the 41-year-old announcing his retirement in a speech to Milan fans, one section of the stadium, occupied by travelling Verona supporters, started to boo.

Ibrahimović paused his speech briefly to knock them back down.

“Keep booing,” he said. “This is the biggest moment of your year, seeing me.”

Zlatan only faced Verona three times in his career, scoring once. We can chalk this one up as another goal of sorts.

And as if the day couldn’t have gotten any worse, with Milan’s 3-1 win condemning the visitors to a relegation play-off match against Spezia next week.
