Our last match of 2024/25 is at home, and despite a campaign that was challenging at times, we are determined to finish it by winning the Austrian Klassiker in front of our fans! If everything happens to go our way in the other matches on the final matchday (WAC and Austria Vienna both losing), we could move up to second and secure a spot in UEFA Champions League qualifying. Should we finish third (and cup winners WAC finish in the top two), then a spot in UEFA Europa League qualifying is ours, while fourth place will send us into the Conference League.
First and foremost, we have to focus on our task in hand - which means beating Rapid Vienna this Saturday (17:00 CEST). The team from the Austrian capital are also having an underwhelming season after starting superbly and taking the league lead during the autumn. The Green and Whites have been boosted in recent weeks under the interim charge of Stefan Kulovits, landing two wins against Sturm Graz and Austria Vienna. We won our last meeting at the end of March in the Allianz Stadium 2-0.
In contrast to us, the Vienna outfit are not able to fully focus on just Saturday's encounter. With Rapid certain of a fifth-placed finish, they face a play-off on Thursday against either LASK or Hartberg for a European spot. It's quite possible they choose to rest a few players. One thing for sure is that Matthias Seidl & Co will be in no mood to let the momentum of recent weeks slip and gift us a win in the Austrian Klassiker. We therefore have to put everything we have into it - both on the pitch and in the stands!
Everything worth knowing about coming to the stadium can be found, as usual, in our latest matchday info. If you haven't yet booked your seat, you can do that in the Online Ticket Shop.
Everyone not able to attend will be able to follow proceedings from the Red Bull Arena with our live text updates. The game can be watched on TV with a Sky Sport Austria subscription in Austria, and streamed for free on OneFootball internationally.
This weekend you can still secure a spot for next season for a special price! You can get season tickets online as well as at our Ticketing & Service Center (open on Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00) at the Red Bull Arena.

We don't have any influence anymore on our final position in the table, but we can influence our performance against Rapid. If we do our homework and win the match, we can see what has happened elsewhere. We have to accept the situation we are in. We want to give our fans a positive end to the season, and we might be able to move up a bit. If you had said before the season that this match will see fourth play fifth, nobody would have expected that. Rapid haven't had the season they hoped for. They have bounced back with two wins against Austria Vienna and Sturm Graz recently, and will definitely come with confidence. We don't know exactly how they will set up as they have their European play-off a few days later.

It's a very special feeling for me to have made the jump from the Red Bull Academy and FC Liefering to FC Red Bull Salzburg this season. I could not have dreamed how fast it would go. I am very happy, as the team have welcomed me so well. We want to finish the season well in what will be a difficult match. We need to take three points and hope for the best - then we might be able to move up the table.
