A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has enjoyed an altogether more fruitful campaign when it comes to minutes on the pitch in 2024/25 than he did last time out.

The player in question? Pedri.

Youngster Pedri is of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign to date.

So often overlooked owing to the exploits of the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, the 22-year-old has stood out as, arguably, the most consistent performer in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Pedri has excelled in all aspects of the game, from passing to work rate, dribbling, chance creation and more.

And as much has come in large part owing to the clean bill of health to have been enjoyed by the midfielder over recent months.

After another injury-plagued season last time out, Pedri has been a leading beneficiary of the training methods employed by new boss Hansi Flick and his staff.

So much so that he has long surpassed his gametime tally for all of last season.

After managing just 2,027 minutes in the entirety of 2023/24, Barcelona’s midfield maestro has since racked up 2,793 this time round.
