On this day in 2015, one of Barcelona’s most decorated players said his goodbyes to the Camp Nou.
Xavi played his last game for the club in a 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruña in what was his 505th league appearance for the Blaugrana.
That final result may not have been the perfect ending to the midfielder’s time at Barcelona, but the rest of his 17-year stint was pretty decent.
He won eight LaLiga titles, four Champions League trophies and picked up the Copa del Rey three times.
Above all, he was an absolute magician on the field ….
Has there ever been a better ‘caresser’ of the ball?
Hermoso, señor.
