On 2nd November 2005, Lionel Messi scored his first Champions League goal at the age of 18.

Panathinaikos were Messi’s first Champions League victims in a 5-0 defeat at Camp Nou.
Barcelona went on to win the Champions League that season, coming from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1 in the final in Paris.
Of course, Messi has gone on to win the competition three more times. 12 years on, he is just three goals from notching his Champions League century.
