The Argentine unleashed an unstoppable drive to level the score two minutes after Connor Wickham had put the home side in front and turned provider as Stevan Jovetic drilled through former City goalkeeper Costel Pantillimon’s legs.

It was a comfortable afternoon for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and Pablo Zabaleta extended the lead with a deft chip before Aguero steered in James Milner’s cross to complete the scoring.

2017

Goals from Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva gave City a record-equalling 13th consecutive Premier League win with a 2-1 victory over West Ham.

Pep Guardiola’s side had to come from behind at the Etihad Stadium after Angelo Ogbonna headed the visitors in front shortly before half-time.

West Ham proved difficult to break down, but Otamendi displayed a striker’s instinct to level the scores when he slid in to turn home Gabriel Jesus’ cross.

With a draw seeming increasingly likely, Silva acrobatically converted Kevin De Bruyne’s centre with seven minutes remaining to seal a victory which re-established City’s eight-point lead at the top of the league.

2017

City beat Birmingham City Women 2-0 to record a third straight Continental Cup group stage victory, which booked our place in the quarter-finals with a game to spare.

Nikita Parris latched onto Jane Ross’ through ball and lofted it over the visiting goalkeeper to put Nick Cushing’s side in front and Claire Emslie completed the scoring before half-time when she finished from Esme Morgan’s cross.

2019

Gabriel Jesus and Rodrigo scored superb goals as City beat Burnley 4-1 at Turf Moor.

Having won just one of our previous five games in all competitions, we responded emphatically with a dominant display against the Clarets.

Jesus curled in a wonderful opener and doubled our lead shortly after the break when he volleyed home Bernardo Silva’s cross.

Rodrigo crashed an unstoppable 20-yard drive into the roof of the net to make it 3-0 and Riyad Mahrez all but confirmed the win when he fired into the bottom corner from a similar distance.

Robbie Brady denied City a clean sheet, netting a fierce consolation effort late in the game.
