As the current season approaches its conclusion, there are several Real Madrid players who have a highly uncertain future ahead of them.

One such player is the striker Joselu Mato, whose one-year loan at the White Club is coming to end this summer, but who has been exceeded expectations in this year.

Having scored thirteen goals in forty-two appearances this season, and thus has taken advantage to the fullest of the unlikely opportunity that arose for him last summer to rejoin Real Madrid, after having graduated from the club’s youth academy to kickstart his career.

Carlo Ancelotti clearly likes the player, and values him highly, which is evident from the fact that the Spaniard has missed only three games this season. Thus, the Italian will want him to be in his team for the next season as well.

However, his good performances with one of the biggest clubs in the world have naturally not gone unnoticed elsewhere, and according to MARCA, Joselu is receiving interest from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also currently contemplating whether they should execute the €1.5 million release clause on the player, but the potential arrival of Endrick and Mbappe can mean an overbooking of forwards in the squad, so the Merengues will have to think the situation thoroughly.

Joselu is also very happy in Madrid, and would sign a contract with the Vikings with his eyes closed. However, he will still consult his family and talk with the club before making a decision.

If he stays, he will definitely get minutes next season as well, irrespective of the offensive reinforcements that the club gets, as none of the other forwards offer the unique characteristics offered by Joselu.

He still has a year left on his Espanyol contract, but it looks highly unlikely that he will play again with the Catalan side. Real Madrid can decide to purchase him permanently this summer, or other clubs, particularly from Saudi Arabia, can try to get him to their own teams for the next season.
