Marseille's France defender Jonathan Clauss picked up an adductor injury on Monday as his team won 2-1 win in Montpellier in Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 17.
Sigh of relief "He said in the dressing room that it did not look too serious," said OM's Croatian coach Igor Tudor after the game. "His pain was clearly not that bad." Clauss, who occupied the right flank, was replaced in the 24th minute of the game by Issa Kaboré, after making an excellent start.

"I hope it won't be too long. I hope it won't be too long, because he played fantastically and brought solutions to the offensive level", said Tudor about the former Lens player, who had carved out OM's most dangerous chance in the first half. On fire Jonathan Clauss (30 years old, six France caps), who arrived in Marseille this summer, has played 21 matches in all competitions since the beginning of the season. He had cooked up a brace of assists in the first game back after the World Cup, against Toulouse FC (6-1) in Round 16, and currently sits in third place on the official Ligue 1 Uber Eats assists chart (seven assists). Ranked third in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Olympique de Marseille will host Hyères (National 2) on Saturday in the Coupe de France Round of 64, before playing Troyes and Lorient, respectively on January 11 and 14, to round out the first half of their Ligue 1 Uber Eats campaign.
