According to US-based outlet TMZ Sports, relayed by L’Équipe Former France striker Olivier Giroud’s Los Angeles home was reportedly broken into earlier this month. Whilst the 2018 World Cup winner and his family were not present at the time, nearly €500,000-worth of property was taken. On the 5th February, the burglars reportedly broke a window to gain entry into the former Arsenal, Chelsea, and AC Milan striker’s property. They left half a million euros-worth of valuables which belonged to the French striker, and his wife. Police have reportedly launched an investigation but have not yet made any arrests. The 37-year-old made the move over to the States last summer, finishing a three-year stay at AC Milan and signing a one-year deal with Los Angeles FC. He joined fellow Frenchman and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in California, but has struggled on the pitch so far – failing to score in 14 appearances for the club.GFFN | George Boxall
