Oliver Glasner: “We’re not going to adapt our style of play to Mario Götze.”

Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner is looking forward to working with Mario Götze but won’t adapt SGE’s playing style to suit the World Cup winner.

“I’m happy that I can now work with Mario and that we were able to get him excited for our project,” Glasner told reporters. “For Mario, like any other player, it’s important to get to know the group, to get to know our system. We’ll try to incorporate his strengths into our functioning system. That’s important. We’re not going to adapt our style of play to Mario Götze, or anyone else.”

Götze joined Eintracht Frankfurt last week for €4m from PSV, the 30-year-old has signed a three-year contract until 2025, ending his two-year stay in the Netherlands.
