There were 46 minutes and 27 seconds on the clock in the friendly against Japan, when Michael Olise decided he'd seen enough and curled a beautiful shot towards goal from around 20 metres after a headed assist. The ball sailed into the top left corner to level the score at 1-1 for the French U23 team. It was a third goal in the space of a week for the Bayern summer signing, who netted a brace in the 7-0 victory against the Dominican Republic last Thursday.

Olise all set for Olympics

Joel Chima Fujita had given the visitors the lead in Toulon in the 25th minute. It finished 1-1 in the final warm-up match before France's first group game at the Olympics against USA on 24 July (21:00 CEST in Marseille). And it seems Olise is primed for the tournament.
