Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie has admitted that his side currently believe that they should be beating every Championship outfit that they face at Bramall Lane.

The Blades would have been hoping to secure all three points in their showdown with Birmingham City on Saturday.

However, despite taking the lead in front of their supporters in this fixture, United were forced to settle for a point as Birmingham levelled proceedings.

McBurnie opened the scoring in the 64th minute as he fired an effort past Blues goalkeeper John Ruddy.

Unable to build on this particular strike, the Blades were pegged by Birmingham as Troy Deeney slotted home an equaliser for the visitors.

Currently top of the Championship standings, United will be determined to get back to winning ways tomorrow when they host Queens Park Rangers.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side will need to be at their best in this fixture as the R’s have picked up seven points from their last three league games.

Ahead of this fixture, McBurnie has offered an insight into his current mentality.

Speaking to The Star, the Blades forward said: “The [Birmingham] game was frustrating.

“We knew they were going to come and make things difficult, sit behind the ball, drop deep and frustrate us.

“You can’t win them all as they say and we go again on Tuesday and hopefully get three points.

“We feel like we can beat everyone here and feel like we should beat everyone here.”

The Verdict

When you consider that the Blades have produced a host of impressive performances this season, it is hardly a surprise that McBurnie believes that his side should be winning all of their league fixtures.

By regularly picking up victories at home over the course of the coming months, United will bolster their chances of achieving promotion to the Premier League.

McBurnie will unquestionably be confident in his ability to deliver the goods against QPR tomorrow as he has been a stand-out performer for the Blades this season.

In his last six league appearances, the Scotland international has managed to find the back of the net on five occasions.

If McBurnie adds to this aforementioned total on Tuesday, the Blades may be able to overcome the threat that QPR will pose in this fixture.
