Manchester City pulled off an incredible comeback to beat Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League and clinch one of the most dramatic titles you could ever hope to see.

Having been pushed by their fierce rivals Liverpool right until the last, City showed why they are one of the greatest teams ever assembled and come roaring back and snatch domestic glory.

All had looked lost as Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa tore up the script to go two goals up and give hope to Liverpool who were pushing for a winner against Wolves.

Pep Guardiola’s decision to bring on Ilkay Gundogan proved to be a stroke of genius as the German flipped the game on its head with a superb brace.

So, while Liverpool went on to secure a hard-fought 3-1 win, it proved to be too little too late as City claimed domestic glory by just a single point.

The scenes at full-time were truly remarkable as Guardiola was overcome with emotion as the final whistle rang-out while Micah Richards joined in with some of club’s more famous chants.

City, who love a dramatic final day, were simply sensational, resurrecting a sinking ship in next to no time to win a fourth title in five years.

In the aftermath of the trophy lift, several stars were interviewed and while Guardiola, Jack Grealish and Fernandinho spoke well, it was the interview with Oleksandr Zinchenko that truly struck a chord.

You can watch the emotional chat in the clip below:

Zinchenko, having wrapped the Premier League title in the flag of his beloved Ukraine, spoke straight from the heart.

Zinchenko was on the brink of tears as he spoke about how much the title win meant to him.

“Unforgettable emotions for me, it’s for all Ukrainians who, at the moment are starving, they are surviving in my country.

“I’m so proud to be Ukrainian and I hope one day to bring this title back to the people of Ukraine because they deserve it.

He then spoke about the club, after being asked what the support means to him, saying:

“It means everything to me, I want to die for these people. All the support they have given me during the toughest period of my life, i will never forget it ever in my life.”

What a hero.

We can only hope that Zinchenko celebrates accordingly after an incredibly difficult year.
