Defence

Arsenal’s penalty hero against Porto, David Raya, will be lined up between the sticks once again. Needless to say, he will have to be at his level best to stop City’s threats. No changes in the right-back spot as Ben White finds himself fresh after refusing to appear for England.

The centre-back duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes remains intact if the latter regains full fitness. The former didn’t have a good time in his last outing and would like to step up for sure. Oleksandr Zinchenko might get the preference for the left-back position ahead of Jakub Kiwior.

Midfield

Boss Mikel Arteta will not make any change in the midfield trio of Declan Rice, Jorginho and Martin Odegaard until a forced one. Reasonably, these three must coordinate well to overpower City’s impactful midfield unit.

Attack

Arsenal are sweating over the fitness of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Both the forwards took a knock on international duty and haven’t returned to training yet. Hopefully, they will be fine to take part in the high-voltage game.

If fit, Saka and Martinelli operate on the wings with Kai Havertz playing in the middle. The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard will be ready to walk into the lineup if needed.
