Oleksandr Zinchenko has committed his long-term future to Manchester City by signing a new deal with the English champions.
It is reward for the Ukrainian’s impressive performances in a utility role last season.
He has penned a three-year extension taking him up to the summer of 2024.
Zinchenko’s previous deal was set to expire in 2021 and it represents a remarkable turnaround for a man who came close to leaving last summer.
“It’s difficult to express how happy I am to sign this deal,” Zinchenko told City’s official website.
“This club offers players everything they need to improve and develop, so being here for five more years is an honour.
“This season shows we are built for success. It’s been amazing to be involved in such a historic campaign and it’s one I’ll never forget.
“But I am now completely focused on the coming years and I know more good times are around the corner.”
The deal comes just one day after team-mate Kyle Walker penned an extension of his own, taking him up to the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
