Ahead of Tuesday’s EFL Cup third-round clash with Championship side Luton Town, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised to make changes from the side that fell 3-1 at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Manchester Evening News has claimed that Solskjaer will hand Dean Henderson his long-awaited Manchester United debut while several others could be handed much-needed minutes after fitness concerns following this weekend’s upset.

“Some of them need game-time, they do and we can see we’re lacking in sharpness. We just need to make the most of the training sessions and games we have.

”No injuries, no fresh injuries after that game [on Saturday] but, as I said, we’ll rotate and give some minutes.

“Some, after the game, will do some harder training this week to get ready for Brighton. Some will join the squad and go down there.”

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe were out for the Palace match due to injury, while Donny van de Beek, Mason Greenwood, and Odion Ighalo all came off the bench.
