Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that OH Leuven will appoint former Watford and Brighton manager Oscar Garcia as their new head coach. The side parted ways with Marc Brys a few weeks ago, and despite links to Scott Parker, they decided to bring Garcia in.

The former Barcelona U19 head coach has had spells with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Brighton, Watford, RB Salzburg, Saint-Étienne, Celta Vigo and Olympiacos. He was most recently in post at Stade Reims, leaving the French side in October 2022. During his managerial career, Garcia twice won the Austrian Bundesliga at RB Salzburg, as well as the domestic cup. He also won the Israeli league title during the 2012/2013 season. During his playing career, Garcia spent his whole time in Spain playing for the likes of Barcelona and Espanyol.

OH Leuven are currently 13th in the league, with just three wins from 12 games. They are in the bottom four of the Pro League, a position that at the end of the season would see them fighting it out to avoid the drop.
