In and out of the side in recent weeks as he manages injuries, Tanguy Ndombélé (27) has nonetheless been crucial for OGC Nice as they look to remain competitive in Ligue 1, despite an injury crisis.

Following his summer move following the termination of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur, Ndombélé enjoyed a strong start to life at Nice before being somewhat halted by injury issues. He featured for Le Gym on Sunday, however, he couldn’t prevent them from losing to one of his former clubs, Olympique Lyonnais.

However, Foot Mercato understands that Ndombélé has been playing through the pain barrier for some time. The publication understands that the France international has been taking injections in order to allow him to play through a pubalgia issue. It is an issue that he has been playing through for around a month and a half. With so few players at Franck Haise’s disposal, it is a case of needs must.
