Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that OGC Nice striker Kasper Dolberg has been given the opportunity to revive his career at Anderlecht. The Pro League side reportedly wants to sign the Danish forward, who has been given permission to leave Nice this summer.

Nice paid approximately €20.5m for Dolberg in 2019. After a superb start to his career with Ajax, a move to the French club looked like a brilliant option for Dolberg. In his first season in France, he scored 11 goals in Ligue 1. After that, however, the 25-year-old’s career went downhill. He scored just six Ligue 1 goals in 25 games during the 20/21 campaign and six goals in the 21/22 campaign.

Dolberg was later loaned to Sevilla, where he failed to score a single goal. He spent all of last campaign on loan in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, where he scored once in 13 appearances. Nice have given Kasper Dolberg permission to leave the club, and it’s rumoured he could leave for just five to seven million euros.

Anderlecht are currently searching for a new striker. Benito Raman and Islam Slimani are set to leave the 34-time Belgian champions, leaving an open spot up front. Clubs from Germany, Denmark and the Championship are also said to be interested in Kasper Dolberg.
