OGC Nice look set to miss out on signing Burnley’s Mike Trésor (25), with not enough time remaining in the transfer window in oeder to complete the deal, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Trésor had looked on the verge of completing a deal to Nice, with the player having already made the journey to the Riviera in order to complete a medical. There has been a need for attacking reinforcements at Le Gym, even despite the arrival of Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan, with Terem Moffi out for much of the season, Gaëtan Laborde out for several months and Jérémie Boga and Sofiane Diop still unavailable for selection.

Negotiations for Trésor to join Nice had been advancing positively throughout the day, however, ultimately, the transfer will not take place, Foot Mercato understands, due to a lack of time in order to complete the deal. However, Trésor remains keen on a move to the Ligue 1 club and so the move may be reignited in January.
