It was a smiling Franck Haise who announced on Friday that, for the first time all season, he has a full squad to work with. However, there are two absentees as OGC Nice travel to face AS Monaco in the Derby de la Côte d’Azur.
Melvin Bard is the first absentee. He is out through suspension and Ali Abdi is his logical replacement at left-wing-back. Tanguy Ndombélé is the other absentee. The former Tottenham Hotspur man is training with Nice, however, he is dealing with a pubalgia issue. Despite the midfielder contending with the problem for multiple months, surgery is not envisaged but for now, he remains sidelined for Haise’s side.
Morgan Sanson and Terem Moffi are expected to be included in the matchday squad for the first time this season. Both suffered severe injuries in pre-season, the former an ankle injury and the latter an ACL injury. Neither are expected to start, however.
Marcin Bulka; Dante, Moïse Bombito, Youssouf Ndayishimiye; Ali Abdi, Baptiste Santamaria, Hicham Boudaoui, Jonathan Clauss; Mohamed-Ali Cho, Gaëtan Laborde, Evann Guessand.
