OGC Nice are closing in on a move for Hamburg forward Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer (23), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Nice’s season gets underway when they face SL Benfica in the third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying on 6th August. However, before that all-important fixture, Le Gym may have secured another recruit. L’Équipe understands that they are rapidly closing in on a move for Hamburg’s Yeboah-Königsdörffer. The value of the deal is thought to be between €6-7m.

Whilst the deal between the club’s is yet to be fully finalised, the Ghanaian centre-forward has already comlpeted his medical, ahead of the move, with Nice hoping to have the player registered to face Benfica. Last season, Yeboah-Königsdörffer netted 14 goals in the Bundesliga 2 for Hamburg.

He would be brought in to provide competition for Nigerian forward Terem Moffi, with Evann Guessand still expected to depart between now and the closure of the transfer window.
