OGC Nice close door to Hicham Boudaoui departure | OneFootball

Hicham Boudaoui (25) has been linked with a move away from OGC Nice this summer, however, speaking in a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Franck Haise has firmly stated his desire to retain the player.

It was reported earlier this month that Nice would be open to selling the Algerian midfielder during the current window. However, that came prior to the sale of Evann Guessand, who has since joined Aston Villa in a €30m deal.

Haise is now desperate not to lose another key player. “He won’t leave. It is the club that decides who stays and goes,” said Haise.

He continued, “He, like others, may have slight hopes, but we have the hope to keep a team on track, to strengthen it, and to get our injured players back, so we can have a team to target the top seven. It isn’t by losing Hicham, or others, that we will get there.” Boudaoui missed the match against Benfica in midweek but is fit to face Toulouse FC on Saturday.
