Manuel Neuer will be thankful for his defence’s well-executed offside trap and an alert officiating team in Villarreal.
Although Bayern Munich trail 1-0 at the Estadio de la Cerámica, it could have been much worse.

Francis Coquelin thought he’d doubled Villarreal’s lead shortly before half-time when he sent a cross aimed at Gerard Moreno into the area.
But he completely miscued it and in doing so, caught out the Bayern goalkeeper, who helplessly fell into his net as the ball sailed over him …
But as replays showed, the goal was correctly ruled out.
A lucky escape!
