A recently-departed member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis has on Tuesday secured for himself a new club.
The player in question? Guido Rodríguez.
Argentine international Guido has of course seen his name dominate the Spanish media headlines across much of the summer to date.
As much comes after the deep-lying midfielder came to the decision not to renew his expiring contract terms with the aforementioned Real Betis.
Links with the likes of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid followed, before both La Liga giants ultimately opted to pursue alternative targets.
This, in turn, opened the door for further suitors to emerge across the continent.
And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, one such club have made Guido’s signing official.
As per a statement across their website and social media platforms, the 30-year-old will be plying his trade with Premier League outfit West Ham United moving forward.
Guido has put pen to paper on a two-year contract at the London Stadium, arriving on a free transfer through the summer of 2026:
