Villarreal star Dani Parejo has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club.
As much was made official across the website and social media platforms of the Yellow Submarine this week, in news which will no doubt be met with widespread approval on the part of the club’s fanbase.
Parejo, for his part, has continued to play a central role for Villarreal across the season to date.
Despite now being 34 years of age, the midfielder has racked up 31 appearances across all competitions (21 La Liga starts), chipping in with a none-too-shabby three goals and four assists along the way.
Ahead of the expiration of his previous terms in the summer, the brass at La Cerámica therefore recently kicked negotiations over an extension into gear with Parejo and his entourage.
And as much, as alluded to above, have since borne fruit, with the former Valencia man now tied to a contract with Villarreal through the summer of 2026:
‘Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with Dani Parejo for the midfielder to renew his contract with the Submarine and defend the yellow shirt for two more seasons.’
