Official: Valencia sign Aston Villa star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia have on Friday announced a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks.

The player to have put pen to paper on terms with Los Che? Enzo Barrenechea.

The name of Barrenechea has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Valencia over the course of recent days.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Mestalla brass had opened talks with their counterparts at Premier League outfit Aston Villa, over a deal for the Argentine.

Barrenecha only made the move to Villa Park earlier this summer, as part of the transfer which sent Douglas Luiz to Juventus.

After the 23-year-old was deemed by Unai Emery as not yet ready to be a regular contributor, however, he was made available for loan.

And this is an opening which Valencia, as alluded to above, have on Friday taken full advantage of.

As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the struggling Spanish giants:

‘Valencia CF have reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the signing of Enzo Barrenechea on loan, through to June 30th, 2025.’
