Union Berlin have completed the signing of 28-year-old goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow from fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported €1m including bonuses.
The Denmark international has signed a two-year contract with Union after spending last season on loan at Schalke, where he played 11 games in all competitions.
“I’m very happy with the move to Union,” Rønnow told the club’s official channels. “Last season wasn’t easy for me, but i want to put it all behind me and I’m looking forward to the new challenge in Berlin. What the team showcased last season was impressive. I want to do my bit to be successful this season as well and play a good role in all three competitions.”
Rønnow will meet his new teammates on July 30.
