Serie A side Bologna are set to see miracle worker manager Thiago Motta depart the club at the end of the season.

While the Rossoblu have already sealed a spot inside the Champions League spots, the decision about Motta’s future was yet to be made and it seems as if there is bad news for the club’s fans.

Motta was supposed to have a meeting with club CEO Joey Saputo and they were going to talk about his future. It is now confirmed that Motta has informed the Rossoblu chief about his decision to leave and he will soon join Juventus in the summer.

The club have confirmed that Motta has asked to depart the club, stating that the manager has asked to not renew his contract (via TMW)

“This morning Thiago Motta communicated to the club his intention not to renew his contract with Bologna FC 1909. Having taken note of the decision, the Club thanks the coach for the extraordinary work done and wishes him the best of luck for the rest of his career.”

Motta has created history at Bologna and while he was linked with the likes of Milan and Manchester United, he seems set to join Juve and he would also be seemingly likely to sign some Rossoblu players at the Bianconeri.
