Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck in defense against Udinese. This evening’s Serie A clash is scheduled for 20.45 CET.
The big news in this evening’s Inter starting eleven comes in defense.
Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi has decided to make a couple changes to the back three.
First of all, Italian international Bastoni is back. The 24-year-old has been out for the past three matches for Inter with a calf injury, but comes straight back into the team.
Carlos Augusto had played their against Napoli for much of the match. He helped Inter keep a clean sheet despite having played out of his usual position.
However, it is Bastoni who gets the nod over the Brazilian.
Then, on the right of the defense, Yann Bisseck starts. This is the 23-year-old’s first ever start in Serie A.
Therefore that gives Matteo Darmian the chance to play on the right flank. Denzel Dumfries is out with an injury.
And then on the left, Federico Dimarco starts.
In midfield, the trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan starts. That is in fact the trio which has been first-choice since the start of the season.
Meanwhile, in goal, Yann Sommer starts. The former Bayern Munich veteran has played every minute for Inter so far in the league this season.
Fourthly, in attack, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez starts.
Then, Marcus Thuram starts alongside the Argentine.
The pair, both of whom played in last year’s World Cup final, have been the clear first-choice strike partnership this season.
Then on the bench, there are plenty of players who can impact the match.
Among these are summer signings like midfielder Davide Frattesi and wingback Augusto.
Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez are on the bench.
