Official: Six Real Madrid players nominated for La Liga Team of the Season | OneFootball

As we enter the final few weeks of the 2024/25 campaign, La Liga, in conjunction with EA Sports FC, has unveiled the list of nominees of players for the Team of the Season.

Real Madrid, who are currently second in the league table, behind arch-rivals Barcelona, have as many as six players in the running to make it to the La Liga Team of the Season.

Starting from the back, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois finds himself in contention for TOTS, where he will be up against one of Los Blancos’ tentative summer targets – Joan Garcia (Espanyol) as well as Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak among others.

As for the defensive department, Antonio Rudiger is on the list of nominees along with four Barça players (Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, Alejandro Balde), Atletico Madrid’s Jose Maria Gimenez, and Athletic Club’s Dani Vivian, among others.

Moving into the midfield, Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde make the final list of nominees along with Barcelona’s Pedri and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi – another target for Real Madrid.

At last, in attack, Kylian Mbappe, gunning for the Pichichi Trophy in his first season at Real Madrid, is also nominated, along with his partner-in-crime Vinicius Jr.
