Sergio Reguilón has officially joined Brentford on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The Spaniard spent the first half of the season on loan at Manchester United and has now got his second loan move of the campaign.

The 27-year-old moves on loan with no option to buy meaning he will arrive back at Tottenham at the end of the season. However, in the summer it is expected that Reguilón will leave the London-based club on a permanent basis.

The full-back had a medical on Wednesday before putting pen to paper on a deal, which will see him commit to Thomas Frank’s side until the end of the season. Reguilón had his loan at Old Trafford terminated as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are set to return from injury.

The defender has had a variety of different loans in recent years, due to a lack of playing time at Spurs. He joined the North London club in 2020 and spent last season on at Atlético Madrid.
