Rennes have signed Hellas Verona midfielder Ayanda Sishuba (20), both clubs have announced. Sishuba is the fourth player to join Stade Rennais in a deadline-day move after Stuttgart centre-back Anthony Rouault, Cercle Brugge winger Kazeem Olaigbe, Montpellier centre-forward Mousa Al-Tamari. Marseille midfielder Ismaël Koné is also set to sign for Les Rouge et Noir on loan later tonight.
The former RC Lens Academy product joined Hellas Verona last summer, but the Belgium youth international never featured in Serie A. Sishuba’s sole contributions for Verona are limited to scarce appearances for the U20 Primavera side. Rennes have reportedly agreed a minor €200k deal this Monday with Verona to offer Sishuba a return to France. He has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Stade Rennais. Sishuba could make his debut for Beye’s Rennes next Saturday at Saint-Etienne.
