Rennes have completed a deadline-day season-long loan move for Crystal Palace midfielder Naouirou Ahamada (22), both clubs have announced. Rennes were in the market for a central midfielder on the back of club legend Benjamin Bourigeaud’s move to Al-Duhail. L’Equipe understands that Ahamada’s loan move to Rennes includes an €8m to make his move permanent.
Ahamada joined Crystal Palace from VfB Stuttgart in a €12m deal in January 2023. He only featured 31 times for the Eagles and is yet to play a single minute for Oliver Glasner’s side this season. Ahamada is the tenth and final player to join Les Rouge et Noir for this summer transfer window.
