The first international break of the 2024/25 season will get underway after this weekend and Real Madrid will see a number of their players fly away on national team duty.

Earlier today, reigning European champions Spain announced the squad for their upcoming matches in the UEFA Nations League and there was only one Real Madrid player present.

Indeed, manager Luis de la Fuente has called up veteran right-back Dani Carvajal for the squad as La Roja take on Serbia and Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League on September 5 and September 8, respectively.

However, there is no place in the team for the likes of Lucas Vazquez, Fran Garcia, and Dani Ceballos, all of whom are far from regulars in the Real Madrid side and continue to be overlooked in the Spain setup.

Former Los Blancos forward Joselu, who left the club for Qatar this summer, has received a call-up from De la Fuente.
