Real Madrid endured a disappointing 2024/25 campaign as they came second best to arch-rivals FC Barcelona in La Liga while also losing to the Catalans in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup finals.

Great things were expected of the Merengues this season but they have failed to meet those lofty expectations.

Despite that, there have been some standout players for the team such as new signing Kylian Mbappe, who has won the La Liga Pichichi Trophy and the European Golden Boot in his debut season.

Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham once again made an impression even though he was unable to contribute as many goals as he did last season while youngster Arda Guler also had a decent campaign, especially stepping up in the closing stages of the season.

As such, both the young midfielders have now been nominated for the La Liga U23 Player of the Season award.

Bellingham ended the league campaign with nine goals and assists each from 31 matches while Guler finished with three goals and five assists from 28 matches in La Liga.

Both find themselves in contention for the La Liga U23 Player of the Season prize, along with Barcelona duo Pedri and Lamine Yamal, Las Palmas duo of Alberto Moleiro and Fabio Silva, and Diego Lopez of Valencia.
